Make £1,556 Profit Per Month Using £10 Staking
Looking to make profit on the horses with out backing favourites or using huge stakes?
Hi, I'm Pete and I was in the same boat a few years back, I followed others tips and was left underwhelmed by my returns, I was staking £100 per bet backing favourites only to see less than I staked coming back as profit on most wins. The tipster would claim that the odds were above evens but by the time I got my bets on, they were already odds on.
Some weeks I made a profit, some weeks I lost. I was betting £700 per week to see maybe £250 profit on a good week and a loss of over £300 on a bad week.
Things just weren't adding up.
I tried picking the favourites myself and betting the night before when the odds were better but again, the favourites continued to lose on a regular basis. Betting the evening before the racing and tracking the price movements wasn't a waste of time though, I started tracking multiple horses in races and seeing how their prices fell early morning and even over night in some cases.
Long story short, that is what lead me to my Each Way approach to betting.
First off, you'll be glad to hear - no favourites.
In fact quite the opposite...
After watching racing for well over a decade, I've come to understand that you can make the right pick before a race based on data, stats, trends whatever you like but once the race starts there are unknown's, the start, getting boxed in, clipping fence, having an outsider set a ridiculous pace out of the gate, a multitude of unknowns and losing a bet when these things happens doesn't always mean that your research was wrong. Because these things happen, we need to have more margains in our profit so that when something surprising does happen its not a huge loss.
There are 2 ways I provide bigger margains for our success:
1) The prices. I look for value picks only on a daily basis.
2) I go each way. Widening the margain allowing us to get paid for a place finish.
This combination means that a lower strike rate of wins can still see a profitable return.
The final part of the puzzle is the bet type.
I spend my time looking for value picks, horses that have been overlooked by the bookies and others.
You know the ones...
When they come in, it REALLY feels like a WIN!
Some days I can find 2 of these horses, other days I can find 3.
That's where I limit my selections. 3 is the max in one day.
So how do I bet on them?
First off I don't want to just back multiples. Imagine picking 1 winner at 9/1 and not getting paid because you've just placed the double.
That's leaving money on the table.
I want to be paid out for any win, in fact any place from my selections.
So here's what I do...
If I have 2 selections:
I place £10 each way on each selection along with a £5 each way double.
Total take is £50 on the day, half of what I was placing backing favourites just a few years ago.
If I have 3 selections:
I want to cover the singles but also the doubles and the treble, again imagine landing 2 winners out of 3 but only backing the treble. Money on the table again.
Instead, I place a £5 each way patent bet.
This covers the singles, doubles and treble and at a £5 stake adds up to £70 once you go each way.
Still less than I was betting a few years ago and the profits have been great...
Here's how the last 12 months have got on:

Over £18,000 profit, averaging over £1,500 tax free profit per month. On top of that only 2 months ended in a loss and these losses were small compared to the winning months. In fact any profitable month would cover both losing months and you'd still be in profit.
I think its important to show wins and losses, so here's every bet I have placed this month, this way you can see the day by day profit/loss, see any losing runs and basically what you should expect on a daily basis from the selection, not every day is a winner, and there will be losing runs but this should give you a better idea of what to expect on a day by day basis:

We've had bad runs and good and the biggest return was from 3 horses placing which shows the worth of going each way and looking for value.
